Evaporative Towers
Cooling Tower cleaning is vital in maintaining the system free from Legionella bacteria.

We aim to provide Cooling Tower cleaning services that are carried out in a professional manner with fully trained and equipped personnel ensuring that when the Tower is returned to service it operates at minimum risk providing an integral part of a regime to assist in the prevention of Legionnaires Disease.

The requirements of ACOP L8 for cleaning and disinfection state:

“Disinfection, cleaning and manual de-sludging of the Cooling Towers should be undertaken at least twice a year but more frequent cleaning may be necessary depending on local environmental conditions such as dirty atmospheres”

“Where practicable the packs should be removed at least once a year and preferably every six months. If this is not practicable, it may be necessary to apply supplementary strategies such as side stream filtration, increased monitoring etc.”


In line with the recommendations of ACOP L8, we remove the packing from Cooling Towers for cleaning wherever possible.

We provide an annual Inspection Report on the Cooling Tower condition, identifying areas requiring attention. Full maintenance contracts are offered that include the cost of all consumables and parts that may be required.

Dry Cooler Coils
To ensure the efficiency of dry cooling system it is essential that the coil is free from atmospheric contamination. General pollution, building works and atmospheric particulate will all reduce the dry coolers performance. Using a specialist range of cleaning products we can ensure that the Dry Cooler maintains optimum performance, reducing cooling water temperatures and system energy consumption.

Specialist coatings can be applied to protect the coil and fins from corrosion.
Adiabatic Coils
The same problems can occur in Adiabatic Coils as in Dry Coolers with the added problem of scaling of the tube and fin surfaces from spray water. Regular cleaning can prevent a reduction in performance and cooling capacities.
