Inlet Louvres not only hold back foreign debris (e.g. leaves) but also prevent the escape of water from the tower. This escaped water can cause icing and loss of treatment chemicals. Inlet louvres also impede algae growth by reducing the amount of sunlight entering the cooling tower.
